"Time to Act"
From a governance gap to the 5th QS star: how a structured sustainability strategy helped EU Business School move up in the QS Sustainability Ranking.
Academic year 2024-2025
EU Business School already had sustainability initiatives underway, but no structure connecting them. There was no dedicated governance body, no documented baseline diagnosis, and no consistent way to demonstrate progress against the criteria that rankings and sustainability reports actually evaluate.
The challenge was to turn that scattered effort into a strategy with an owner, a baseline and indicators to track, the foundation EU needed before it could credibly compete in international sustainability rankings like QS.
Results already showing in the QS Ranking
Working directly with EU Business School’s leadership, the engagement covered five phases:
- Creating a Sustainability Taskforce, the governance body that now leads the strategy;
- A full sustainability maturity audit to establish an honest diagnosis;
- Adapting OMNES Education’s sustainability plan to EU’s own context and goals;
- Linking existing initiatives into a single CSR strategy with clear owners;
- Building a sustainability KPI dashboard for tracking and ranking preparation
This work fed directly into EU’s own published plan, the «Time to Act» Sustainable Impact Plan (2024-2027), structured around three pillars:
The result, in numbers
Thanks to this engagement, EU Business School achieved the 5th QS star and moved up a category in the QS Sustainability Ranking.
